Silicone rubber heater is a kind of thin film which heats upon electrified, in a standard thickness of 1.5mm, Adopting nickel chrome wires or 0.05 mm~0.10mm thick nickel chrome foils etched to some certain shapes, the heating component is wrapped with heat conducting and insulating materials on both sides, and completed in high-temperature die forming and aging heat treatment.
It consists of high temperature resistance wire wound around a fiberglass core for added support and flexibility while still allowing for expansion and contraction during heat up and cool down. The element is laid out in a computer designed pattern to provide maximum heat transfer and temperature uniformity. After the element is laid out, it is vulcanized between two sheets of silicone rubber until they become one. The silicone rubber sheets also have a layer of fiberglass for added strength and tear resistance. The same vulcanization process is used to attach the power leads and cord sets to the heater windings.

Specifications of Silicone Heating elements
The Silicone heater can be made with two heating elements: a winding wire heating element or etch foil heating element. The winding element is composed of resistance wires wound on glass fiber wires to provide support and stability. The etch foil heater is made of thin foil (. 001") as a resistance element. For small to medium quantity, medium to large size heaters, it is recommended to use wire winding type heating element, and because of the cost of the wire wound type is more competitive, it is better to produce wire winding type before using etched foil for mass production.
